This year, Genesis sponsored the famed Presidents Cup PGA Tour. Golf fans from Knoxville to Maryville, TN recognized the Genesis logo spread across the course in Charlotte, North Carolina. This year, the U.S. team won its ninth trophy, with a final score of 17.5-12.5.

Genesis also made its presence known with the inclusion of seventy-seven cars on display at Quail Hollow Club. Plus, players and event stakeholders were able to ride in the Genesis G90 sedan, the G80 executive sedan, and the GV60, GV70, and GV80 SUVs to get around the event. The inclusion of these luxury models added to the refined and dignified atmosphere projected at this world-class golf event.

Korean players abound at the Presidents Cup. Si Woo Kim performed impressively with a score of 3-1-0. Plus, Sungjee Im scored 2-2-1-, K.H. Lee brought in 2-1-0, and Joohyung Kim offered up 2-3-0. The presence of such high-performing Korean players pleased the Genesis Motor company. “We are happy to support the top players from various countries along with event stakeholders through our vehicle sponsorship, and hope that it contributed to their remarkable efforts both on and off the course,” proclaimed Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer at the automaker. "Genesis will continue to show its dedicated commitment to golf through its golf sponsorships here in the North American market and globally."

Genesis will continue to sponsor the Presidents Cup in 2022, 2024, and 2026. The next event will take place in Canada at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, and the 2026 event takes place in Medinah, Illinois at the Medinah Country Club. Plus, Genesis hosted the 2022 Genesis Championship in South Korea. This was a massive Korean PGA Tour event.
