Interior
You'll love spending time inside the new Genesis GV80. Along with convincing synthetic leather upholstery, the GV80 comes standard with burled wood trim, metallic accents, and a mood curator that adjusts the lighting, sound, and scent of the cabin to match your mood. GV80 3.5T trims have Nappa leather upholstery and power-adjustable second-row captain's chairs. Families in Alcoa will appreciate the available third row, which enables seating for seven.
The BMW X5 also has top-notch cabin materials, but it's a bit more conservatively styled than the GV80. Unlike the GV80, the X5 is only available with two rows of seating and a five-passenger capacity.
Infotainment Technology
The Genesis GV80 is filled with pioneering technology that makes every drive in Sevierville special. Its 27-inch diagonal display houses both the infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. A host of gratifying amenities are standard in the GV80, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, an integrated navigation system, and wireless device charging. Clinton, TN drivers will like the standard hands-free liftgate for loading the cargo area when their hands are full.
The BMW X5 has separate screens for the infotainment system and driver information display. While it has many of the same tech features as the GV80, a hands-free liftgate is not standard in the X5, though it is available at an additional cost.
Safety Tech
Genesis takes your safety seriously, so a suite of seven driver assistance features comes standard in every GV80 trim. This includes a lane centering system, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot intervention, which automatically steers the GV80 back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a vehicle is in your blind spot.
The BMW X5 has six standard active safety features. A lane centering system is just optional in the X5, so you must pay more to add it.
