Genesis Concepts Tell the Future of this Premium Brand!

If you are a follower of auto shows and all types of car-related news, you might be familiar with some concept cars from the Genesis brand or others. A "concept car" is another way of saying "prototype," with each showing off a particular design or product that will be unveiled on future models. While these prototypes are only for display and used primarily at auto shows, they introduce concepts that you will likely see in the future. Let us take a look at some of Genesis' current concept cars at Genesis of West Knoxville. Our dealership is less than 25 minutes outside of Oak Ridge, TN.

The Genesis X Concept is a two-door supercar prototype, with the iconic quad-lamp headlights and grille that defines the Genesis brand. The engine and drivetrain of this concept is modeled after high-performance GT cars, with a twist: the X Concept is all-electric. He interior features a new and driver-centric cabin, complete with a "wrap-around" cockpit design and all the buttons and dials you will need much closer to your hands than before. Drivers near Knoxville looking to significantly decrease their carbon footprint will hopefully be able to enjoy a similar performance, with similar features, in the near future.

The Genesis Mint Concept is another all-electric supercar coupe design, with a design destined to delight driver from Knoxville to Maryville, TN. The design of this concept coupe is the result of a collaboration between Genesis Global Advanced Design in Germany, Genesis Design in the United States, and Namyang Design Center in South Korea. What designers envisioned was a low-riding, compact, and minimalist design, with lots of urban flair. The interior of this all-electric coupe contains a purely luxurious design, blending classic and modern styles.

You might start to notice a pattern with Genesis concept cars, especially with the Genesis Essentia. Like its predecessors, this prototype is a two-door supercar with an all-electric powertrain. However, the Essentia's design is sleeker and more futuristic, similar to something you would see in a movie like Tron. The quad headlamps have LED lighting connector strips along the side of the car for a brilliant and unique effect. The interior offers a unique design, with several helpful display screens across the dishoard right at your eye level

This concept car would fit in right at home on the streets of its namesake city, thanks to its athletic design and flexible drive. The New York concept has been intelligently designed by Genesis engineers as a sleek four-door sedan with a more unique appearance than many of its contemporaries. Like other Genesis sedans, the New York would put performance and handling at the forefront with its design and propulsion system. As with other Genesis Concepts, the New York's interior is designed to be intuitive, with contour front seating and a 21-inch control unit right in front of the driver's seat.
