Your vehicle's engine is full of gaskets. They are what the manufacturer uses to seal off important sections of the engine from other sections. There are five major gaskets in your engine, and they all have a unique purpose.

The most common gasket is the head gasket. This is located between the top of the engine and the engine block. It is used to help seal the engine. Next, we have the intake manifold gasket which helps to keep the combustion chamber airtight. The main bearing gasket is located on the oil pan and it keeps the oil from leaking out of the oil pan. A camshaft gasket is also called a cam seal and it keeps dust and grim from disturbing the engine internals while also preventing oil leaks.
